Senior Software Engineer

EzApply is building the tools that make the job search less of a grind. Our AI tailors resumes per job, our curated job board surfaces roles people actually want, and our application tracker keeps the whole process honest.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us scale the platform across thousands of users, build new product surfaces, and own meaningful pieces of the system end-to-end.

You'll work directly with the founder. Small team, fast cycles, real impact.

What you'll do

• Ship end-to-end features across our Next.js + Supabase + TypeScript stack
• Improve the resume-tailoring AI pipeline (Claude, OpenAI, custom prompts)
• Scale the job scanner that ingests jobs from Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and Workable
• Build new product surfaces — recruiter tools, application tracking, browser extensions
• Own quality: write code that doesn't break, debug what does, mentor what's next

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong TypeScript and modern React (hooks, server components)
• Comfortable with backend systems — REST APIs, database design, async pipelines
• Experience with PostgreSQL and ideally Supabase or similar BaaS
• Built and shipped production systems used by real users
• US-based, can work full-time remote

• Experience working with LLMs (Claude, OpenAI, fine-tuning, prompt engineering)
• Browser extension development (Chrome MV3, content scripts)
• Comfort with database migrations and schema design
• Open-source contributions
• Worked at an early-stage startup before
